The phenomenal story of Siri Chettipally and her jewelry-making is being made into a film that aims to inspire people around the world. It will be completed in the spring of 2020 and distributed online for free.

Burlingame, CA, USA –My Name is Siri” is a short, inspirational documentary about Siri, a young woman with autism who discovers her passion and talent for making jewelry. The film portrays the challenges, failures, and disappointments that ultimately led Siri to make the beautiful jewelry that she now distributes widely. Recognition of her talent boosted her self-esteem and has spilled over to other areas of her life.  The documentary will not only inspire families touched by autism, but anyone who yearns for hope.

Autism, or autism spectrum disorder (ASD), refers to a broad range of conditions characterized by repetitive behaviors and challenges with social skills and verbal communication. The Chettipallys’ story of raising a child with autism and helping her run her own online business has been featured in many magazines, and on television networks including Fox, NBC, and KTSF TV. This is the first time the story will be told entirely from the family’s perspective.

The documentary will be completed in the spring of 2020 and entirely funded by a Kickstarter campaign. Siri’s family is partnering with De Colores Arts, a non-profit, and Flying Moose Pictures, a San Francisco-based production company with 20 years of experience producing stories for artists, non-profits, and corporations.

“My Name is Siri” includes an interview with Dr. Temple Grandin, the well-known author and autism spokesperson, who was hugely influential on the Chettipally family, guiding and advising them as they raised Siri.
