Live Music Subscription Service, Launch, Officially Launches Equity Crowdfunding Campaign on Wefunder

New York, NY – August 5, 2020 – Launch, a live music subscription service powered by an artist co-op that is making it possible for independent and emergent artists to earn a living in the COVID-19 world and beyond, has officially launched its equity crowdfunding campaign on Wefunder.

Quickly developing a scalable virtual concert venue that allows artists to pool resources and revenue to create abundance for all, Launch felt the calling to expand their capabilities and services as coronavirus threatened to obliterate the live music industry forever.

“Consumers are starved for music right now, while artists are struggling to make end’s meet,” said Brian Stollery, Co-Founder, and CEO of Launch. “The same sounding songs play on the radio over and over, and most live-stream shows are poor quality, creating a want and desire for music that is soul-shaking and innovative, and virtual shows that have the power and energy of a concert. We knew there had to be a way to satisfy artists and consumers in the world right now as we distance from home.”

Launch began as a hyper-curated NYC-based concert producer, who planned to roll out a live concert subscription service in early 2020. Thanks to the global pandemic, the brand saw a need and sharply pivoted its business to focus on empowering artists to deliver professionally produced monetizable virtual shows.

Today, Launch offers a seamless digital platform, in-app purchase paths for consumers, great production value and infrastructure, live-streaming support, partner and sponsorship capabilities, and access to musicians from around the world. Their goal is to simplify the music value chain so that artists can actually make money from their art while consumers enjoy the same level of musical creativity, even during COVID-19.

“The odds have always been stacked against artists, with the lion’s share of the global music revenue stream going to big recording artists and industry intermediaries,” said Stollery.“This made live performance the most vital part of the business for artists and bands. Now with COVID-19, many of them can’t perform, fans can’t access live music, and there’s no doubt the future of music is live. We’re not a brand that was founded to make money in the old paradigm – we were founded to bring abundance to artists and accelerate their creativity. We’re not going back to normal, we’re going back to better.”

Brian was a professional music-focused videographer, concert booker, and live-stream director for over 10-years, working with numerous concerts and music festivals. He helped develop a European music startup as an equity partner with Billy Joel, architected Relix Magazine and Dayglo Venture’s live-streaming operations and is a lifelong musician and producer.

Launch will charge $15 per month for virtual memberships, $25 per month for in-real-life memberships, and is working to hit their goal of 50,000 members and over 500 virtual shows by 2021. In order to make that a reality, the organization is launching a crowdfunding campaign to make it possible.
