In a Time of Uncertainty, The USP Virtual Tennis Showcase Has Established a New Paradigm In The Way Students Interact Live With College Tennis Coaches
University Sports Program (USP) has been the industry standard for assisting tennis players around the world achieve their dreams of playing college tennis. Now, USP is taking their event virtual. The USP Virtual Showcase is an innovative way to allow tennis players and tennis coaches to connect without having to leave their homes. From a computer, tablet, or smartphone, student-athletes will be able to participate in this innovative format.

Doral, Florida – USP University Sports Program is the world leader in College Tennis Showcases. For over 26 years, the USP has helped student-athletes connect with colleges across the USA. USP organizes the most important college tennis recruiting events in the country. Every year, USP organizes a circuit of 4 major college tennis showcases that allows coaches from across the USA to identify, evaluate, and recruit players for their teams. Over 17 million dollars in scholarships have been awarded to players that have participated in these showcase events.

Earlier this September, USP debuted their first Virtual Showcase with tremendous success. The two-day event brought together 158 tennis players from 26 countries and 21 US States, to meet virtually with coaches from 120 colleges and universities. Coaches and players were connected for over 8 hours with hundreds of interactions, opening doors for many.

The USP Virtual Showcase works in partnership with UTR, Universal Tennis Rating, the most important rating system for tennis players across the world. While in-person play cannot be replicated, USP has worked incredibly hard to create a virtual event that gives players the best opportunity to introduce themselves and interact with coaches. The USP Virtual Showcase expects to have over 250 players coming from the entire globe.

This upcoming event will take place on December 19, with the participation of 150+ colleges coming from all major and private universities, belonging to NCAA I, II, III, NAIA, and Junior Colleges. During this event, participants will also be able to listen to conferences from prominent figures in the college tennis community.

From the comfort and safety of their home, student-athletes will be able to interact with college tennis coaches in real-time who are looking for new recruits for the upcoming season. Having a chance to interact and engage with a college coach is as important and effective as showcasing their talent on the court.

On the day of the event, participants will get access to the “Virtual Tennis Center”, a digital space where college coaches and students will interact in real-time. Each participating university will have its own Virtual Booth that they can visit to learn about the different programs and opportunities, they offer, as well as the type of players they are looking to recruit, availability for scholarships, financial aid, etc.

Participating colleges include, but are not limited to Dartmouth, Iowa State, University of Pennsylvania, Villanova, Texas A&M, Virginia Tech, Rutgers, University of Houston, George Washington University, UCLA, Ohio State University, Boise State University, Massachusetts Institute of Technology, Washington State University, Louisiana Tech, Western Kentucky University, Creighton, University of Nebraska, Michigan State University, Temple, Brown, University of Washington, and many more.

With the Standard Package, students will be able to enjoy full day participation in the Virtual Showcase, the ability to network with over 150 college coaches, access to exclusive conferences, and an SAT/ACT Diagnostic Test provided by Winward Academy.

Students that purchase the Plus Package will receive everything listed in the standard, and will additionally receive a Career Assessment provided by Career Fitter, a UTR Power Subscription discount through UTR, early access to the Virtual Tennis Center on the day of the event, an exclusive pre-event session with an NCAA DI coach and a personalized advisor to provide guidance during the entire showcase. During a recent press event, Thomas Anderson, CEO of USP, said, “Since I was very young, I discovered that my passion was everything and anything that had to do with sports. After my experience as a college student-athlete and seeing how it impacted my life, I then realized that my mission in this world is to help young people succeed in life. So, USP is a dream come true: “I work in sports while helping others.”
