How art of living, becomes living from art. Selling decorative art online generates new revenue streams as “old normal” business has gone down by 80%.

Art has become increasingly popular, as more people spend more time at home, due to the global health crisis. Home-decoration projects to renovate the interiors are on a steep increase, as people take more interest in their homes, improving conditions for remote working, making them better fit for cocooning, or “hygge” as the Scandinavians would say.

Another consequence of the Covid situation is that e-commerce is booming. Selling online has become the solution for many companies as their traditional businesses have either been locked down by their governments or are general badly impacted by the “new normal” curfews and other business and client restrictions.

QAUTIO is a leading real-estate agency operating on the French Riviera in the town of the mythical Film Festival, Cannes. However, due to the Covid situation, all conferences that normally run in Cannes, have all been cancelled, and consequently the “old normal” business revenue streams from renting out private homes to conference clients has all but, disappeared, leading to a dramatic decrease (-90%) in rental revenues.

QAUTIO’s new business unit, the online gallery: www.real-artist.com, proposes artworks from internationally acclaimed French artists: Céline Chourlet and Christian Neel, who create very decorative and colorful artwork. Luxury hotels like the Hermitage and Monte Carlo Bay, both in Monaco, have acquired paintings and sculptures from these two artists, to decorate their prestigious receptions and surrounding gardens.

The artists get their inspiration from the French Riviera “art of living” experience, with great landscapes, white sandy beaches, the Azur blue Mediterranean sea, the Esterel mountains, olive and palm trees and bright lights, in short, all that we know and love from the Côte d’Azur.

Céline Chourlet has created a big family of cat sculptures, named “Marcel The Cat”. The family consists of six different models, ranging from small desk decorative cats (Petit Marcel), to extra-large size garden sculptures (Marcel XXL). The “Marcel the cat” sculptures easily pleases the many cat lovers, as they are so cute and creatively painted.

Céline’s paintings are all full of the French “art of living” experience, colorful, naïve, dreamy paintings with motives of love, gardens, sea-facing villages, the sea, flowers and again, Marcel the cat.

Christian Neel’s sculptures come in two variants: the “2-faced” Faces of women, beautifully painted on wood and placed on a plexiglass base, and the wonderful Hearts, that are made in raisin and comes in two sizes, 22.5 x 22.5 cm (9 inches x 9 inches) and 44 x 52 cm (17 inches x 20.5 inches), also on a plexiglass base.

Christian’s paintings are very impressive, some 3 meters wide and 1 meter high, with figurative motives of the ocean, women’s faces, women of liberty, music instruments, cities, sailing boats and imaginary images of dreams.

The artworks are all originals, sold with hand painted certificate of authenticity by the artists, and prices ranges from $975 to $25,000.
