The QA Lead has joined forces with software industry leaders Jonathon Wright, Paul Gerrard, and Giles Lindsay to host the largest online testing event of the year: Testing Festival 2021.

From May 12-14, the festival is a full three days of networking and knowledge sharing to further the professional development of testers and QA practitioners. The event will bring together over 11,000 testing professionals, 16 guest speakers, and 11 hours of sessions.

There will be keynote talks, technical discussions, personal development talks, and workshops aimed at helping individuals and teams gain knowledge and expertise about software development and testing.

From Testing Festival’s organizers:

“We believe the successful delivery of effective software is dependent upon collaboration across many disciplines. With this in mind, Testing Festival sets itself apart from other technology conferences by steering away from one specific technical discipline and instead focusing on collaboration between IT disciplines.”

There will also be a competition: The Test Factor (imagine ‘The X Factor’ but switch singers for testers and Simon Cowell for a much nicer Giles Lindsay).

During The Test Factor segment, expert judges will search for the next generation of superstar testers. The contestants — up-and-coming testing stars — will present their innovative ideas and concepts to the judges for a chance to win mentorship from their chosen judge and access to The QA Lead Membership for one year.

Further, it’s an opportunity to hear the latest ideas in testing and celebrate fellow testers’ achievements.

This year’s Testing Festival themes include Artificial Intelligence & Machine Learning, Model-based Testing, Future Automation Models, Innovations in Software Testing Methods and Tools, Experience Reports & Real-Life Examples, DevOps, DevSecOps & FutureOps, Testing Leadership, and Autonomous & Continuous Testing.

Pricing is either free or $99 for a delegate’s pass. For more details on Testing Festival’s agenda, speakers, and to register, visit: testingfestival.com

In tandem with the festival, The QA Lead will launch its membership community for Senior QA Professionals.

The community will be a collaborative space for experienced QA professionals to develop as leaders and connect with people in similar roles.

As The QA Lead says on its website:

“We exist to help you become a better leader of technology, quality, and teams. We’re passionate about quality and exist to equip you with the resources and support to save the world from bad software.”

Members get access to an exclusive forum where they can connect and support each other, as well as access to mastermind placements, and other resources to aid with professional development.
