Ripley’s Believe It Or Not has officially named Ben Jacoby the world record holder for the fastest 100m sprint on jumping stilts.

Adventure seeker and entrepreneur Ben Jacoby broke the world record for the fastest 100m sprint on jumping stilts.

“I was always told I am “out of the box.” Thanks to Ripley’s Believe It Or Not, now it is official. It is such an honor to be part of this popular, well-known publication, being part of the unbelievable,” Ben, who’s been making waves in extreme sports and entrepreneurship, said in a statement.

As a kid growing up in the ’90s, Ben said he always dreamt of breaking world records. He originally started on stilts just for fun.

“The original idea was to wear them as a costume as a kangaroo. After I started wearing them more often, I understood that I could do a little bit more than just playing around. That’s when I asked myself that maybe there’s a World Record out there,” he shared.

“I knew that if I would give time to it, down the road, hopefully, I could try and break that record,” he stressed.

Ben showcases a documentary, “Bam Bam Runs Fast,” where fans and viewers worldwide get to see behind the scenes what it’s like to break a record. It chronicles Ben’s journey of everything it takes to run on stilts and beat a world record.

“It’s not only a step-by-step process on how to break a world record. It’s more of the journey that I went through from point A to point Z, which involves the journey to break the world record at Burning Man,” shares Ben.

“It’s everything from leaving Los Angeles, driving all the way there, getting all the people who I needed to make the official record, and even all the stress that comes around it, especially when it comes to 100 meters. I feel like a lot of it boils down to those ten, twelve, or fourteen seconds. So there’s absolutely no room for error,” he adds.

Ben says his goal in life is to push boundaries, test his own human limits, learn from challenges, and grow.

“I hope to inspire others who want to do the same. Life is too short to live with limits. I believe in extraordinary living,” he says.
