Melbourne-based Bright Labs Increases Foothold in Australian Market with Acquisition of Redline Digital Media; Seeking Further Opportunities

Bright Labs, a fast-growing independent, full-service digital agency headquartered in Melbourne, has announced its first-ever acquisition, bolstering its Australian team and further establishing its presence in the AU market. The purchase of digital marketing agency Redline Digital Media allows Bright Labs to strengthen its position as a genuinely full-service digital provider for clients.

Bright Labs founder Rishad Sukhia acquired Redline Digital Media for an undisclosed sum. The deal was finalised in March 2023, enabling Bright Labs to absorb Redline Digital’s client roster, including brands such as Abey Australia, Arlec, and William Angliss.

Additionally, all senior staff members and several contractors from Redline Digital have joined the Bright Labs team. Redline Digital’s co-founders, Damian Newton and Michelle Barnard-Marks, will continue as Bright Labs’ Client Solutions Director and New Business Director, respectively.

Established in 2014, Redline Digital Media is a data-driven digital marketing agency with expertise in content marketing, search engine optimisation, paid advertising, social media marketing, and web development. Describing itself as providing “high-performance digital”, its diverse clientele spans multiple sectors across Australia.

Bright Labs, founded a decade earlier in 2004, boasts a full-service offering, including brand design, UI/UX design, development, digital marketing, and film production. The agency has attracted high-profile clients such as VicRoads, Woolworths, Victoria State Government, Diabetes Victoria, Alba Thermal Spa & Springs, and Forty Winks. In addition, it has extensive experience providing solutions targeted at Indigenous youth services, working closely with DHHS and VACCA on the “Deadly Story” youth portal.
