Lawrence Hoffman is a retired NYPD detective with more than twenty years of service. He began his career in 1984 as a uniformed officer patrolling the streets of Brooklyn North and later served in Brooklyn North Narcotics, where he earned the rank of detective. Following a highly successful long-term investigation, Hoffman was assigned to the Organized Crime Investigation Division and ultimately served on the prestigious Federal HIDTA Task Force.
A 9/11 first responder, Hoffman brings an authentic voice shaped by real-world experience to his fiction. His storytelling reflects his deep knowledge of police work, organized crime investigations, trauma, resilience, and the human cost of violence.
