Alfatir Crawford is a savvy innovator who has always been ahead of the curve. His latest venture is an online live chat and messaging app called Chirppie. The mobile app, which is available on the App Store and Google Play, provides a fun, personal and user-friendly way for family and friends to meet, talk and share messages.

Launched in March this year, Chirppie adds a fun and personal touch to the online communications space. Slated to officially go live in September 2021, Crawford says his tech startup is “fun, inclusive, user-friendly coding and where users can stay connected with the world.”
The app includes a dual video chat and messaging screen, where multiple participants can simultaneously video chat and send messages all while sharing equal screen space. Anytime a user receives a message from Chirppie, users receive a chirping notification ‘CHIRPS.’ Crawford continued, “Everyone will enjoy sending their family and friends CHIRPS.”
“Technology should have a heartbeat and pulse like its end users. Technology should be fun and colorful; it should be warm and personal; it should be user-friendly; it should be inviting and non-intimidating, constantly improving or evolving in this ever-changing world,” said Crawford.
Crawford developed Chirppie because of his own observations as a licensed North Carolina Assisted Living Administrator. Due to the no visitation restrictions placed on homes for the aged because of the Covid-19 pandemic, family and friends were unable visit their love ones. Crawford knew there needed to be a more humanizing way for family and friends to interact with their love ones through a communications technology platform.
