The Voice Achievers Award, held on September 19 in Dubai, U.A.E.

The Voice Achievers Award 2021 kicked off in the evening of September 19, 2021, at Intercontinental Hotel, Dubai Festival City, United Arab Emirates. The awarding event opened carrying the theme “Bridging Cultures: U.A.E. and Africa.”

It was the first time that the organizer, The Voice African News Magazine, had chosen an Arab country to host the event. The event was organized with the collaboration of I Am Africa and support from Dubai KPMG Lower Gulf.

Her Excellency Laila Rahhal, Founder and President of I Am Africa, said that it is her duty to empower her brothers and sisters who are excelling in the industry and adding value to the economic and cultural affairs between UAE and Africa.

Mohamed Dekkak, Board Member of I Am Africa and one of the awardees of the event, said that the event is an effective way of recognizing the main contributors for a stronger UAE-Africa relationship and it also serves as a platform for networking and introduction to the businesses and public institutions who shared the same sentiments and common ground, and that is to improve trade and accord of UAE and Africa.

This year’s ceremony further promotes the progress of Africa and UAE by awarding eminent individuals, establishments, and leaders that have outstandingly raised the standards of proficiency and success and showed extraordinary management skills and authority. 

The following names are the distinguished recipients who have raised their voices and made a mark in promoting of UAE-Africa relations:

Her Excellency Dr. Bonface Obare, Ph.D., African Image Maker Award

Her Excellency Noura Bint Mohammed Al Kaabi, Minister of the Ministry for Culture and Youth UAE

Other VIP guests, public figures, and diplomats were also spotted during the event.

There was a gala dinner where the Dubai music band, Dibba Al Harbyah, made a fantastic performance. The renowned award-winning musician from Nigeria, Samm Young, also sang and entertained the guests and awardees while enjoying the dinner.
