RANCHO CUCAMONGA, CA – September 2nd., 2026 – Visitors to the historic Cucamonga Service Station on Route 66 will have an opportunity to experience Mt. Baldy from a different perspective during a special September promotion combining local history, mountain recreation and support for one of Rancho Cucamonga’s historic landmarks.
From September 3 through September 13, 2026, visitors to the Cucamonga Service Station can receive a complimentary Mt. Baldy Scenic Ride Lift Ticket, valued at $40, with a suggested donation of $10 or more to the Station.
Tickets will be available at the Cucamonga Service Station while supplies last.
The promotion is the first public initiative resulting from a new promotional partnership between the Cucamonga Service Station, Mt. Baldy Resort and Mt. Baldy Brewing.
Mt. Baldy Resort is providing the Scenic Ride Lift Tickets to the Cucamonga Service Station at no cost, allowing donations generated through the promotion to directly support the historic Station.
“We wanted to create something that provides genuine value for our visitors while also introducing more people to the Cucamonga Service Station,” said Keith Hunt, Board Member of the Cucamonga Service Station. “Someone can visit a historic Route 66 landmark, make a suggested $10 donation to help support the Station and receive a Scenic Ride ticket valued at approximately $40. It creates a good experience for everyone involved.”
The Mt. Baldy Scenic Ride takes visitors into the San Gabriel Mountains aboard the resort’s chairlift, offering an opportunity to enjoy the mountain scenery and views of Southern California.
The promotion also reflects a broader effort by the Cucamonga Service Station to build relationships with attractions and businesses throughout the surrounding area.
“Route 66 doesn’t exist in isolation,” Hunt added. “There are historic sites, restaurants, attractions and destinations throughout this area that visitors may not know about. By working together, we can encourage people to explore more of what our local communities have to offer.”
